How long the earth will be a unsustainable place for humans to live?and why?

if not long then how can i help make earth a livable place in the future and make people realize that earth is in a really bad condition and that we need to reduce the amount of bad gases that we are releasing into the atmosphere. thanks!

4. In the case of an all out nuclear war, it would only be a matter of minutes. For conditions like increasing greenhouse gases or holes in the ozone layer or rampant consumerism (the throw-away culture) it could take centuries. Most adults from any culture have already made up their minds as to whether or not the entire planet is in trouble. These will be almost impossible to influence. The best way to help is to teach children the consequences of human activity on their environment. Start with your own children or young relatives. If you want to make a greater impact, become a grade school teacher or write meaningful books on the topic at a grade school level. Home school materials are usually lacking in this area.
